The Day of Valor

Araw ng Kagitingan also known as Day of Valor, is celebrated every year on April 9th This day is dedicated to the heroism of fallen Filipino and American soldiers when the Japanese took control and dominated the Philippines during the II World War

To us Filipinos, this holiday is not new to us anymore. Many brave souls were sacrificed to fight for the peace and freedom of the nation. Without them, we would not be where we are now and the country would not be able to become the country it is right now. Their heroic acts had done justice to the definition of bravery and honor. Words are not enough to describe their deeds of bravery from life to death. Knowing the fear, threats and danger a soldier may face still, they moved forward and fought.

Though many lives were lost and fallen, but to me, that was not the case. They may have lost, but won the war.
