The Philippines have long been colonized by for 300 years and only after going through so many hardships of fighting for the country’s independence, had we gained freedom of our land.
June 12, 1898 was when the Philippines finally attained its independence and of course, we celebrate it too on June 12th annually. This significant event couldn’t be made possible without our Filipino heroes and its citizens as well. Withstanding sufferings and pain in the hands of the Spaniards for many years, resulted in many Filipino hearts fueled for attaining the country’s freedom; to be free from the hands of the colonizers. The Filipinos alongside Andres Bonifacio and Emilio Aguinaldo made the greatest event in the history of the Philippines come true.
June 12, 1898 become a day forever remembered by all the Filipinos. As people of today’s generation we must come to appreciate and remember all what was sacrificed for the independence of the country by our heroic Filipinos.
